The Opportunity
The brand was working – but it felt functional. This project focused on bringing their existing platform, Sleep Made Simple, to life in a more human, expressive way.
Like many DTC businesses, the focus had been on benefits, features and performance. What was missing was the emotional layer: something that reflected how people actually experience sleep, and the different behaviours, habits and personalities that come with it.
The opportunity was to build a brand strand that could sit alongside performance, adding character, relatability and consistency without losing clarity.
Our Thinking
We developed a series of short films designed to bring Sleep Made Simple to life through real sleep behaviours.
Each film focused on a recognisable type – from Tossers and Turners to Dreamers, Snorers and Stargazers – using humour and observation to make the brand feel human and relatable.
Rather than one-off content, the films were designed as a flexible system – shot in 16:9 and created to work seamlessly across social, digital and broader campaign use.
Visually, we introduced a simple but distinctive sweeping ident, using Otty’s colour palette to create a consistent end frame and unify the work across executions.
The Outcome
The films resonated immediately. They brought personality into the brand in a way that felt natural, not forced, helping Otty connect with audiences beyond product features and performance messaging.
Engagement was strong across social, with particular standout moments – including Tossers and Turners, which sparked conversation and humour around the language, further reinforcing the brand’s tone and confidence.
More importantly, the work helped establish a clearer brand layer — one that complemented performance activity and gave Otty a more distinctive, human presence in a competitive market.
